About Me

Working with voice patients and training voice enthusiasts has become my professional passion!.                  I have been in private practice in Athens, Greece since 1996 as clinical Voice Specialist – Speech Therapist – Psychologist. Feeling there was a gap to be filled in terms of a holistic approach to voice rehabilitation, I brought together all my clinical experiences and diverse training to create the Integrated Voice Therapy approach to rehabilitation of voice disorders which I implement clinically and also teach through specialized training workshops. With more than 25 years of clinical experience as well as a diverse range of collaborations during my professional path, I feel a passion for sharing my voice experiences through my total-person approach to the treatment and training of voice.

The Integrated Voice Therapy approach has literally integrated established voice therapy techniques with latest developments from the sciences of kinaesiology, psychotherapy, neurosciences and learning theory, extending the specialist field of Voice Therapy to include a broader interdisciplinary and humanistic approach. Selected collaborations with an enriched interdisciplinary network of voice specialists, phoniatrists, psychologists / psychotherapists, voice physiotherapists and voice coaches, ensure comprehensive rehabilitation of voice disorders with informed clinical techniques.

I am honored to be one of the founding members of an amazing interdisciplinary Voice Mentoring team comprised of more than 15 passionate voice lovers.  I have collaborated for the creation and operation of specialist voice therapy departments with the Athens Voice Center, the Athens Medical Center (Voice and Swallowing Department), have been a founding member and Head of the Voice Department of the Athens Voice and Swallowing Center and have worked closely with Voicecraft International Ltd. Clinically, I offer specialized and personalized training services, prevention and rehabilitation of voice disorders.  I have extensive experience with interdisciplinary teams staffed with prominent scientists in the field and the international scientific community. My participation as guest speaker in numerous world conferences, workshops and seminars has made me feel a part of the developments in the science of Voice Therapy.

I am also a visiting lecturer in undergraduate and postgraduate programs of the Pedagogical Department at the National Kapodistrian University of Athens.  I have lectured in the department of Voice Disorders at the Metropolitan College of Athens as well as assistant lecturer in the courses of Social Psychology and Statistical Research / Analysis at Westminster University in London.

The specialized training workshops of Integrated Voice Therapy techniques are unique in Europe and are offered with live and online workshops. Their object is the training of speech therapists and voice specialists (singers, voice coach, singers, ENT doctors, acting teachers, etc.) in the mechanical control of the voice, while also involving training from the fields of psychotherapy, neurophysiology, learning theory and movement sciences.

The training workshops are addressed to those who want to develop as voice experts, with explicit techniques for effortless and efficient control of the voice mechanism, The workshops are for all those voice enthusiasts thirsting for deep and holistic scientific understanding of the human voice. They are aimed at those who are attracted to the specialty of voice therapy and are interested in developing their expertise by experiencing a journey into the fascinating world of voice with a holistic, experiential approach to scientific training.

For the clinician who sees the voice therapeutically, for the performer who experiences the voice artistically, the mystery of the voice never ceases to challenge us for perpetual evolution, revealing the infinite possibilities of the voice.  My personal goal and passion is to accompany in this journey of personal development every person with whom I collaborate in both a clinical and  educational context.
